Beddable beef-cake, Ryan Hunter-Davies is set to star in yet another blockbuster action series – this time playing the role of comic favourite GI Joe. The new series entitled Making The Empire Cross will premier in February. Appearing this week on Trent Rockwell’s Up Late Live the sexy star said that the series would be filled with explosions and special effects, but would also deal with hard-hitting themes not usually covered by work in this genre. Many, who have in the past speculated Hunter-Davies’ scripts one-liner scripts are a necessity born of somewhat limited cerebral capacity, may now say that these claims are little more than Oscar fishing. However, Making the Empire Cross producers of the series have revealed that no-one will be safe from the series satirical scrutiny. In an advance review released today, critic David Broker said that in dealing with issues of contemporary politics “ even where the names have been changed no one is actually protected…[the series] implicates all of the characters, ‘good’ and ‘evil’, without fear or favour.”
