The still images and roll over animation on this web site are only a representation of what the it is like to experience lenticular images. The videos below provide further indication of how the works from the series Making the Empire Cross look once installed.
The images animate as the viewer walks by, or moves from side to side while looking at an image. Each image has an optimal viewing distance where a seamless flip from one frame to the next occurs. Some of the images in the video are filmed at a distance that is closer than the optimal viewing distance, which results in one frame begining to show while the other is still visible.
